Lara Chamberlain

Ms. Chamberlain has been an artist ever since she was a child. She took this creative energy with her to college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she earned a BA degree in Graphic Communication in 1991.
In 1995, Ms. Chamberlain traveled to India, where she rediscovered her passion for sculpture. She enrolled in courses at a college in Calcutta, and began her training in ancient bronze casting. Upon returning to the US, she furthered her studies in figure sculpture, working under the French instructor, Marianne Groh. It was here that she honed her technique of capturing the essence and energy of the human body in motion.
Today Ms. Chamberlain lives with her family in Santa Cruz, California. Along with running a school for Zen and martial arts, she also sculpts full time.
