I am a figurative sculptor in Japan. Ive been creating for 20 years and one of my primary interests has been restoring human sculpture. Sculpture is a three dimensional art, so it many formative elements such as mass and movement. Using these elements correctly evokes emotion in people, but I believe that the tribulations of the person depicted are more sublime. I want to take a different approach in interpreting the model. Figurative sculpture is the most essential type of art. so capturing the expressions of the model is very important. Reviving a sculpture is like giving it new life. I want to be able to bring the gift of new life to human sculpture by capturing these expressions.
