Hi John
I think the hair isnt right. looks too plastic and stuck on. I think this could be rectified by making it smoother with MUCH shallower detailing, especially on the head. The hair tips need to be merged with the chest/shoulders, blend them in. If you want to indicate hair curling away from the body at the tips. confine it to just a couple of bunches and make the tips more pointed.
The raised arm: The lower part (ie upper arm anatomically) seems too curved and also a little too thin in relation to the fore arm. This arm also looks detatched and too high at the shoulder region, but this could correct itself if the other things about the arm are corrected.
Finally I love the folds in the fabric and the neck line of the dress they are spot on and remind me of the ancient grecian marble sculptures I saw in Athens

Hi John,

First I would like to say you are very talented. There is a sophistication in your handling of the technical details. There are a few things that you should look at:

The eyes and eye lids are not correct. This is very hard to do but if you look at the photo you can see the focus of the right eye is different that the left. There is also a issue with the shape of her arm between the shoulder and her elbow. If you could have your model pose again and measure the distance across the elbow…and check the curvature of the arm that might help.

Really a great start.

Cheers,
G

Generally it is very nice. But something is wrong with eyes.
