Libero Andreotti

1875-1933  Italian Sculptor
An Italian sculptor, Libero Andreotti, considered by modern critics to have been the most important sculptor in Italy in the early 20th century, was born in Pescia in 1875. His sculptures and paintings can be found in public and private collections throughout the world. His work includes forms of a traditional beauty, which, in spite of their showing an academic approach, are carried out with the profound natural spontaneity that dominates the wide range of subjects explored by the artist, creating a sort of common link between suffering and joy, hard work and enjoyment.
