Richard Becker
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Richard Becker found sculpture while living in Europe in the mid-1990s. He has studied sculpture at the Escola dArt
Barcelona, Vaugel Studios Venice Beach and at the Los Angeles Art Academy. Richard holds a Master of Engineering Management from Stanford University and
several technology patents. He has received the National Sculpture Societys Edward Fenno-Hoffman Prize for an uplifting body of sculptural works.
Focused now almost entirely on commissions, his most recent works include Liberation, the 15 POW Veterans Monument for Miramar US National Cemetery,
portraits for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Emmys) Hall of Fame, Hollywood, and a strength/faith figure for Good Samaritan Foundation, Dayton,
Ohio.
In 2010 Richard was elected into the National Sculpture Society, New York City.
His works are in public and private collections in the US, UK and Europe.
