Marianna Costi
Marianna graduated in Architecture, worked some years for the Chicago Driehaus Prize winner, P.C.Bontempi;
she practiced photography supported by the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres of French Republique,
Vasco Ascolini, her first cataloque was published by the editor and art collector Franco Maria Ricci.
Marianna travelled the world studing art until she moved to Florence to work in several bottega, learning the ancient
techniques alongside with the old masters.
She learned painting (even frescoes), engraving and sculpture that became her main activity. Winner of the Fondazione
Alimondo Ciampi fellowship; the Fondazione il Bisonte fellowship; and recently she has been awarded the prestigious
Fiorino d'Oro prize, by the City of Florence. Her sculptures are placed in some of the most important churches of Florence,
private and public collections.
