The tradition of figurative sculpture is s part of humanity's age-old desire to communicate through our own image. There are so many stories to tell, each having singular
potential to evoke emotion and connection. Like any art form, Figure sculpture has the tantalizing possibility to combine harmonious design and universal themes with a hint
of the mysterious. For these reasons it poses a continual challenge and inspiration to me.
I was born in Portland, Oregon and received an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Oregon, studying under Paul Buckner. Currently I live in Eugene, where I also have
taught figure sculpture at college level for the past 16 years. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue this tradition.
